Tehran, MINA — Iran began the AFC U-16 Championship Malaysia 2018 Group C with a match against Indonesia, Tehran Times reported from Kuala Lumpur.
In the match held at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the Iranian team suffered a 2-0 defeat to Indonesia.

Amiruddin Bagus Kahfi opened the scoring for the Indonesian team just four minutes into the match.
He completed his brace in the injury time after dribbling past several Iranian defenders.
Iran are Group C along with India and Vietnam.
The top four teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Peru as the AFC representatives.
