Jakarta, MINA – Indonesia holds a commanding 6-1 lead over Bangladesh in the first half of the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 match, with Mitchell Lee Baker (9) netting four of those goals.
Competing in a decisive match at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) on Thursday night, Indonesia needed a win and aimed to score as many goals as possible.
After relentlessly battering the Bangladeshi defense from the opening whistle, the Garuda squad finally broke the deadlock in the 11th minute.
Receiving a cut-back pass from Ole Romeny (10), Mitchell Lee Baker (9) scored with a single touch. His diagonal shot toward the far post beat Bangladesh goalkeeper Mehedi Hasan Srabon (1).

GOAL! The score became 1-0.
In the 20th minute, Baker netted his second goal. It began with a shot from a tight angle by Ole Romeny that was blocked by goalkeeper Srabon; the rebound fell to Ragnar Oratmangoen (11).
Ragnar’s shot was also blocked, creating a scramble right in front of the goal involving Baker, Srabon, and the defenders. A deft backheel touch from Baker sent the ball rolling across the goal line.
GOAL! The score moved to 2-0 in Indonesia’s favor.

Rizky Ridho’s Turn
In the 32nd minute, it was Rizky Ridho’s (5) turn to score. He struck a rebound firmly after the ball fell to his feet.
GOAL! The ball shot through a thicket of legs and into the net without further contact.
Score: 3-0.

Baker’s Quat-trick
However, in the 36th minute, Indonesia conceded a goal when Shuki Itofusa (9) received a through-ball. Shuki delivered a cross to Mohammed Shahriar Emon (11), who was standing unmarked, and he executed a perfect header.
GOAL! Goalkeeper Emil Audero (1) was unable to keep the ball out.
The score became 3-1.

However, a minute later, Baker scored his third goal. A pass from Ole into the goalmouth was redirected into the net by Baker. Baker had scored a hat-trick.
The score became 4-1.
Baker didn’t stop there. In the 42nd minute, he scored his fourth goal—this time with a perfect header, capitalizing on a well-delivered pass.
The score became 5-1. Baker had scored four goals in the first half alone.
