Gresik, MINA – The Indonesian U-17 national team faced Malaysia in the second match of Group A of the 2026 ASEAN U-17 Boys’ Championship or AFF U-17 Cup.

This classic duel was held at Gelora Joko Samudro Stadium, Gresik, on Thursday evening.

The Young Garuda entered this match with high confidence after successfully crushing Timor Leste 4-0 in their opening match.

Conversely, the Malaysia U-17 team was under immense pressure. A crushing 0-4 defeat to Vietnam U-17 in their opening match forced the team, nicknamed the Young Tigers of Malaya, to win their remaining two matches if they wanted to avoid leaving the team early.
