Jeddah, MINA – Al-Ittihad FC and Al-Wahda played to a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes of the 2025-26 Asian Champions League Elite Round of 16 match at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, Jeddah, on Tuesday.
Al-Ittihad, who had 63% possession and dominated the attack, failed to capitalize on their advantage.
The draw forced two 15-minute periods of extra time.
In the 94th minute, Al-Wahda created their best chance. However, Caio Canedo (7) failed to connect with a long pass in front of the Al-Ittihad goal. His shot went wide.

Drama in injury time

In the second period, a penalty drama occurred in injury time.
In the 123rd minute, the referee checked for a possible penalty.

The incident in question was a fight for the ball in the Al-Wahda penalty box. The footage shows Al-Wahda defender Sasa Ivkovic (31) taking a late kick, causing his foot to strike an Al-Ittihad player’s calf.
Fabinho (8) then stepped up to take the penalty. The Brazilian coolly beat goalkeeper Zayed Al Hammadi (36).
