PARIS ATTACKS: THREE BROTHERS INVOLVED, ONE ON THE RUN
Paris, 4 Safar 1437/16 November 2015 (MINA) – Three brothers were involved in the wave of gun-and-bomb attacks in Paris on Friday night, which has claimed the lives of 129 people and left 352 injured, a French daily reported Sunday, citing an unnamed source close to the investigation.
“One died in the attacks [a suicide bomber], the second is in custody in Belgium — it still unknown if he participated in the attacks or not. Investigators have no news about the third brother. It could be one of the suicide bombers or [he can be] on the run,” reported Le Figaro, Anadolu Agency quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.
French police issued an arrest warrant for a man identified as Abdeslam Salah, a 26-year-old Belgian national suspected of being involved in the Paris attacks, also releasing a photo of him, urging people to stay away and notify the police if seen.
Citing unnamed sources close to the investigation, French broadcaster BFMTV said Salah was one of the three brothers, the one who the police thought was on the run.
Belgian public broadcaster RTBF reported Sunday that two of the attackers involved in the shootings in Paris came from Brussels.
Belgian police on Saturday arrested several people in Brussels over their suspected connection to attacks. (T/P010/R07)
