Al-Quds, MINA – Scores of extremist Jewish settlers entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Occupied Jerusalem on Wednesday morning and afternoon, while Israeli authorities imposed restrictions on the entry of Muslim worshipers, PIC reported.
According to local sources, dozens of settlers entered the mosque through the Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards under police protection. During the tours, rabbis gave lectures about the Temple Mount, while some settlers performed Talmudic prayers and other provocative acts, particularly in the eastern area of the mosque and near the staircase leading to the Dome of the Rock.
Meanwhile, Israeli police imposed movement and entry restrictions on Muslim worshipers at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque, preventing many from accessing the holy site.[]
