Beirut, MINA – Israeli attacks on Lebanon killed three more people and injured 99 others, Lebanese authorities said Saturday, raising the total toll since March 2 to 1,024 dead and 2,740 injured, according to Anadolu Agency.
The total death toll of over 1,000 includes 79 women and 118 children, while the wounded includes 419 women and 370 children, the Lebanese Health Ministry said.
The scope of the US-Israeli conflict with Iran expanded to include Lebanon on March 2, with Lebanese group Hezbollah and Israel frequently exchanging fire.
Hostilities in the region have escalated since the US-Israeli strikes on Iran began on Feb. 28, with Tehran retaliating with repeated drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and Gulf countries hosting US military assets.[]
