As 7,260 Indonesian Hafiz Al-Quran in Kapuas Break Records

Kapuas, MINA – A total of 7,260 students from various levels of education, teachers, and caravans Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) Kapuas District, successfully broke the record of Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) for the 30 juz memorizer category with the highest number of juz.

The event was carried out at Al Mukarram Mosque in Kuala Kapuas, Central Kalimantan on Saturday, October 26.

“The record is the beginning of Al-Qur’an Read and Completion (TBTQ) program in Kapuas District,” Kapuas Regent Ben Brahim said in a statement received by Republika on Monday, October 28.

The record was witnessed firsthand by the Head of Regional Office of Central Kalimantan Ministry of Religion Masrawan, the Regent of Kapuas, Ben Brahim S Bahat, and the Head of Kapuas Ministry of Religion, Ahmad Bahruni.

Ahmad Bahruni said that the event was not only to break the national records but was a form of support from the Ministry of Religion to improve the quality of reading and writing of Al-Quran.
