Gaza, MINA – Hamas has affirmed that it and Palestinian factions remain committed to the terms agreed upon for implementing the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement reached in October 2025, including the obligations of all parties.
In a statement issued on Monday, the movement said it was awaiting a clear and official response from mediators regarding the understandings that had been reached. The statement comes as the Israeli occupation continues its violations of the ceasefire and incessantly attacks the Gaza Strip, particularly amid intensified bombardment in recent days.
On Sunday, Hamas said the renewed strikes were an act of “deliberate escalation” pursued by the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to obstruct the understandings reached under the ceasefire. The movement called on mediators to take immediate action to pressure the Israeli occupation government to halt what it described as crimes against the Palestinian people and to compel it to stop its aggression.
At least 22 Palestinians were martyred and dozens wounded over the past 24 hours as the Israeli occupation continued its violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, marking the 298th day of ongoing breaches, according to Palestinian medical sources. The latest Israeli attacks targeted several areas across Gaza, including Gaza City, Deir al-Balah, and Jabalia, further adding to the growing number of casualties since the ceasefire took effect.[]
