80 Percent of US Muslims Face Discrimination: Survey
Washington, MINA – Eight out of ten Americans believe that Muslims face more discrimination than other groups in the United States, according to a poll by the Pew Research Center.
As many as 82 percents of respondents said that Muslims faced discrimination. Anadolu Agency reported, while 80 percent of those surveyed said black people faced some discrimination.
Pew released that the figures came after US President Donald Trump tweeted a video attacking Muslim congressman Ilhan Omar from Minnesota.

Muslim congressmen said had faced more death threats since the president posted the tweet, sparking criticism that Trump forgave a dangerous attack on the country’s elected officials.
The survey that conducted before the president’s tweet also showed that 92 percent of the Democratic Party said there was discrimination against Muslims in America.
Meanwhile, Republican respondents 69 percent said there was discrimination. The survey was conducted on March 20-25 and surveyed 1,503 adults. (T/Sj/R04)
