Those are the Ideal Substitute of Setya Novanto in Golkar Party

Jakarta, MINA – Golkar Party Chairman Setya Novanto (Setnov) has become a suspect of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Since last Sunday, he has been thrown in the prison of KPK.

Observer of Political Communications, Hendri Satrio said Golkar Party should immediately conduct an extraordinary deliberation (Munaslub) to choose a substitute figure. That must be the ideal figure from among senior of Golkar, Hendri told daily newspaper Republika.

Who is that figures? Hendri said, they must be able to re-raise the credibility of Golkar. The figure according to Hendri owned by the Vice President Muhammad Jusuf Kalla (JK), Erlangga Hartarto, and Ade Komarudin (Akom).

“If Golkar take the person who is in power it means JK. If he comes from the results of the National Party’s Conference it means Akom, then if he comes from the current criteria, it means Erlangga Hartarto, “said Hendri.

Nevertheless Hendri said the possibility other names from the younger generation of Golkar who are considered to be the top leader. The three names that have a greater chance.

Vice Chairman of Golkar Party Honorary Council, Akbar Tanjung said the party should immediately take steps after Setnov becomes a suspect. The most effective way is to hol national conference (munas).

Akbar said, in choosing the next leader is not to have personal interests and not contaminated with any cases. Thus, he hope the next leader is able to re-increase the electability of Golkar Party especially ahead of the 2019 election. (LP/P2/RE1)
