
Russian Muslims swarm Moscow for ‘Feast of Sacrifice’
Moscow, MINA – Thousands of Russian Muslims Friday performed Eid al-Adha prayer at Moscow’s Grand Mosque, in the heart of the Russian capital, amid tight security.

They gathered since early morning to perform Eid prayer, and the surrounding streets were crowded due to the large number of worshipers, WAM reported.
In his speech, the Imam called for strengthening bonds of love and brotherhood between Muslims and renouncing hatred and violence.
It is estimated that some two million Muslims live in Moscow.
In all, nearly 20 million Muslims reside in the Russian Federation. (T/RS5/RS1)
