Kuala Lumpur, 28 Jumadil Akhir 1438/27 Narch 2017 (MINA) – Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS), set to kick off from 5 to 8 April, will showcase all aspects of Islamic life.

The halal concept goes beyond food items to cover fields like tourism, Islamic fashion, music, banking and arts, CEO of Malaysia’s External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) Mohd Shahreen told KUNA on Monday.

The concept also refers to the quality of products, which will also attract non-Muslim buyers, he added.

Shahreen noted that the halal industry can spread international humane values and present a bright picture about Islam, which is being destroyed by terrorism and extremism.
