Jama'ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) Condemns Violence Against Indian Muslims

Jakarta, MINA – A forum of Muslims Unity, Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) denounced the acts of violence carried out by the Hindu masses against Muslims in India, and it seemed to be neglected by the security and government. So. it caused dozens of casualties, hundreds of injuries and destroyed property belonging to Indian Muslims such as homes, schools, shops, and mosques.

“The crime is a form of violations of human rights. Now, Indian Muslims have become the most threatened in their own country,” Amir Majelis Ukhuwah, Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) Bustamin Ucje told MINA at Bogor, Sunday, March 1st.

According to him, The act of violence also violated the Declaration on the Elimination of All Forms of Intolerance and Discrimination Based on Religion or Beliefs which was endorsed by the UN General Assembly in 1981.

Bustamin emphasized that Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) hereby condemns the violence and Government of India for the failure to protect its own people from crimes based on religious hatred. Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) urged the India Government to stop all forms of human rights violations against Muslims in India.

“We urged the Government of India to stop all forms of discrimination against Muslims in India, especially in matters of citizenship law. India has to treat them with the same treatment like Hindu or others. During this time, Indian Muslims have been proven as obedient citizens and have a good reputation in contributing to the development of India in various fields,” he said.

The appeal is not intended to interfere in the internal affairs of the Government of India. But the principle of Muslims, we are brothers in the faith. Muslims have to help, defend, and protect each other. This is an implementation of the commands of the Holy Qur’an in surah Al-Hujurat verse 10 that the true believers are brothers.

The credibility and honor of Indian leaders in the eyes of the world are determined by their ability to protect the people of India and ensure that every person including Muslims has the same rights without discrimination. If the leaders fail to protect their people, it is shameful and will be a dark historical record for India.

“On this occasion, we also call on Muslims in India to be patient, get closer to Allah and ask for protection and help to be saved from all dangers. Rest assured that God is all-seeing and your brothers and sisters all around the world are concerned about the calamity that you face and we are ready to defend and help you. Close your ranks and increase ukhuwah (brotherhood) among fellow Muslims and beware of all forms of slander and fighting off the enemies of Allah. May Allah give you a great victory, amen,” he said.

“For Muslims all around the world, we call for the attention of fellow Muslims, brothers and sisters in India, at least by prayers for the protection of Allah for them. Pray “qunut nazilah” until the tyranny of Indian Muslims is stopped. This is proof that Muslims everywhere are united, “he added. (T/RE1)
