Indonesian Students Win 34 Medals in Singapore

Jakarta, MINA – Indonesian students won 34 medals at the 2018 Asia Open Memory Championship which took place on September 29-30 2018, in Singapore.

In this championship, Indonesian students won 12 gold, 13 silver, and 9 bronze medals. With a total of 34 medals, Indonesian students compete with other 143 participants from Singapore, Malaysia, China, Japan, Australia, India, France, Taiwan, and Macau.

Head of the Communication and Public Service Bureau (BKLM), Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud), Ari Santoso appreciated the students who had succeeded in bringing the name of the Indonesian to the international scene.

“This is a remarkable achievement from our students who prove that their memories are extraordinary. We congratulate our students who won the championship. “Share the best experience wqith friends in school and the environment where the siblings are,” he said at Jakarta, Wednesday (3/10).

He added, although, with limited support, the ability of  Indonesian students’ memories cannot be underestimated.

“The results of this championship prove that the ability of the children’s brain cannot be underestimated. Although with limited support, the Indonesian Memory Olympics team still shows its fangs in the eyes of the world and carries the name of Indonesia, “he said.

Previously, the students also managed to bring the victory on international memory competition in the Philippines and Korea. (TL/ R10/R04)
