Indonesian Ministry of Finance: Indonesia Considered as Important Country for Brexit Process

Jakarta, MINA – The Indonesian Ministry of Finance Mulyani Indrawati said, British considers that Indonesia as an important country for communication of continuity of the British Exits from European Union (Brexit) process.

“Indonesia is considered an important country, therefore they communicate the situation to us, “Sri Mulyani said at the Ministry office after meeting with British Secretay of State for Economic Affairs John Glen in Jakarta, Monday, Antara News Reported.

The former managing director of the World Bank said the British Government confirmed that London remains attractive and competitive as a world financial center, so the cooperation with Indonesia needs to be maintained and strengthened.

The British government also ensured that it would continue to strive as a country connected with Europe and other countries in the world.

John Glen said that his country remained open despite being in the process of changing relations with the European Union.

“We remain a hub and center for global finance. That doesn’t change,” he said.

After Indonesia, Glen is to visit Malaysia and Japan also to communicate the Brexit process, while emphasizing the importance of Asia to the British economy. (T/Sj,RS5)
