Jakarta, MINA – Humanitarian activist and participant of the Global Sumud Flotilla, Wanda Hamidah, said that the struggle of the Palestinian people has taught her a great lesson about the meaning of sacrifice, courage, and humanity.
She made this statement during the seminar “78 Years of Nakba and the Future of Palestine from the Perspective of International Law After the Board of Peace,” organized by the Aqsa Working Group (AWG) at the HB Jassin Hall, Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta on Sunday.
In her presentation, Wanda described the Palestinian people as an inspiring nation, because from an early age their children are raised with a spirit of struggle and sacrifice to defend their homeland and honor.
She admitted that the genocide tragedy in the Gaza Strip has changed her perspective on life. According to her, many people are too busy chasing worldly matters, while the Palestinian people instead teach the meaning of struggle, steadfastness of faith, and courage in facing oppression.

Wanda said that the suffering experienced by the people of Gaza opened her awareness that life is not only measured by material comfort, but also by taking a stand for humanitarian values.
She criticized those who are still afraid to voice support for Palestine and reluctant to speak out about the colonization and injustice committed by Zionist Israel. According to her, silence in the face of oppression only prolongs the suffering of civilians who are victims of war and military aggression.
She emphasized that the Palestinian struggle is not merely a political issue or a regional conflict in the Middle East, but a humanitarian problem that should concern the entire world.
Wanda also called on the public to continue voicing solidarity through education, social media, humanitarian aid, and moral support so that the Palestinian people do not feel they are struggling alone against colonization that has lasted for decades.
