King Salman Invites Families of Christchurch Victims for Hajj
Riyadh, MINA – Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz will invite for Hajj 200 families victims of attacks of two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand that occurred several months ago.
The attack carried out by an Australian citizen killed 50 people and injured dozens more.
According to Arabnews reports from Saudi Press Agency, the order from King Salman was announced on Tuesday July 16 by Sheikh Abdullatif bin Abulaziz Al-Asheikh, Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance.
Al-Asheikh said Guest Program of Two Holy Mosques Mosque for Hajj and Umrah is part of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to confront and eradicate terrorism in all forms.
Al-Asheikh added that his ministry was working with Saudi embassy in New Zealand to ensure the invitees had everything they needed to do the Hajj during their visit. (T/Sj/P2)
