Veep Jusuf Kalla Inaugurates Android-Based Dakwah Application

Jakarta, 21 Sya’ban 1437/29 May 2016 (MINA) – Vice President Jusuf Kalla inaugurated the launch of the android-based dakwah application, or preaching of Islam, at Istiqlal mosque here Saturday.

The android-based application of proselytizing or the preaching of Islam is operated by the Indonesian Mosque Council.

“The mosque management is now different from that in the past. It is more and more advanced with a more efficient way,” Vice President Kalla said in the conference room of Istiqlal Mosque.

The development of the preaching of Islam in mosques should also follow the development of technology to make it easy for the public to discover and use the mosques for a good activity, according to him.

“As a part of Indonesian society, I feel proud and happy that mosques will have a wide network through the application of the android-based proselytizing,” Kalla said.

Besides inaugurating the application, Kalla also launching Dakwah TV, a Dakwah book publication and laid a foundation for the construction of the Indonesian Council of Mosques (DMI) multi-purpose building. (T/R07/R01)
