Two Militants Killed in Kashmir

New Delhi, 12 Muharram 1438/13 October 2016 (MINA) – The Indian security forces managed to kill two militants who were holed up inside a government building at Pampore in the disputed Jammu and Kashmir after 56-hour long battle, a military source said Wednesday.

Quoting a high level Army officer, the Press Trust of India (PTI) said the encounter took place inside the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) complex located on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway in Pampore town.

The Indian forces completed the search operation inside the 50-room building after recovering bodies of the two militants suspected to be affiliated to the Lashkar-e-Toiba group.

The militants managed to enter the complex on Monday and took positions inside one of the buildings, according to the source.
