Jakarta, 6 Muharram 1437/20 October 2015 (MINA) – The Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) noted the total investment in Indonesia reached $ 165 billion in one year under Jokowi-Kalla administration.
In a press release displayed, Tuesday, the data collected from October 22, 2014 until October 16, 2015 which through both of BKPM representatives in eight countries, as well as the ”Marketing Officer Teams” coordinating with the Indonesian representatives abroad.
“Investment is the proverbial embryo, so it could give positive impact is felt to the public, if it is safeguarded,” said Head of BKPM Franky Sibarani. Antaranews reported as quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA).
He explained that the investment consists of several priority sectors with the top three sectors namely downstream industries, infrastructure, and tourism in industrial area.

According to Franky, the downstream sectors of the industry contributed $ 59 billion or 35 percent of the overall investment interest.
“In addition to downstream industries, tourism and infrastructure sector and industrial area are considered sectors that are much in demand by foreign investors,” he said.
Investment in the infrastructure sector reached $ 48.7 billion. While in tourism sector in industrial area recorded $ 11.9 billion.
Based on the source country of investment, the top three countries are China with $ 61 billion, South Korea $ 46 billion as well as the Middle East and African countries $ 23 billion.

Furthermore Franky added, high interest investments was caused by Jokowi-JK’s efforts to simplify investment services.
Some breakthrough programs conducted by BKPM within one year. The online system was launched on January 26, 2015, the program of Stretching Investment construction company, special desk for textiles and footwear investments for intensive program, and the services program within three hours service that will be launched on next 26 October.
