Davos, MINA – President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto officially signed the charter of the Board of Peace for Gaza, an initiative launched by US President Donald Trump.
The signing took place on the sidelines of the annual World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos, Switzerland, on Thursday.
Prabowo’s presence at the launch session of the Peace Board marks Indonesia’s entry into the global effort to end the conflict in Gaza. According to observations, Prabowo, wearing a black kopiah and a gray suit, sat in the front row alongside several other attending world leaders.
The signing of the charter was conducted in turn by the heads of state. Prabowo was called alongside Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to sign. In his remarks, President Donald Trump emphasized that the presence of world leaders reflects a shared desire for the war in Gaza to truly end.

“They have become my friends, they are here, and of course the war in Gaza will truly end. We have some small fires that we will put out. It was a big fire, but now they are small, so we can put them out easily,” said Trump, as recorded in the official White House YouTube broadcast.
Trump also mentioned that 59 countries are currently involved in the Middle East peace effort, though not all are from the region.
According to the official statement from the Presidential Secretariat, Indonesia’s participation in the Peace Board aims to ensure the transition process in Gaza continues to move toward a two-state solution.
Furthermore, Indonesia will use this participation to advocate for an end to violence, the protection of civilians, humanitarian access, and the restoration of legitimate Palestinian civil governance.[]
