Meanwhile, four-year-old Osama Abed died from injuries he sustained approximately three weeks ago in an Israeli strike targeting the town of al-Zawaida in central Gaza. His death brought the number of children killed in that attack to two.
Other areas of the Gaza Strip also experienced extensive military activity on Tuesday, including gunfire, artillery shelling, drone flights and demolitions, the report said.
The latest attacks come amid continued violence despite the ceasefire agreement that took effect in October 2025. Israeli airstrikes, artillery fire and gunfire have continued to cause Palestinian casualties across the territory.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, more than 1,490 Palestinians have been killed and over 5,290 injured since the ceasefire took effect. The overall death toll since October 7, 2023, has exceeded 74,000 Palestinians, according to the ministry.

The death of Osama Abed highlights the continuing toll of the conflict on children, many of whom have been killed or wounded in attacks across Gaza.
The ongoing violence has also intensified concerns over civilian safety and the protection of essential infrastructure. Human rights organizations have called for accountability and the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement.
The Israeli military has maintained that its operations are intended to respond to security threats from armed groups. Palestinian sources, however, continue to report attacks causing civilian casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure.
Gaza’s humanitarian crisis remains severe, with medical facilities facing shortages of fuel and medicine, agricultural activity under mounting pressure and thousands of families living in damaged buildings vulnerable to collapse.

International calls for compliance with the ceasefire and unimpeded humanitarian access have continued as Palestinians face persistent insecurity and deteriorating living conditions.
The United Nations Human Rights Office recently reported that it had verified 1,076 Palestinians killed in conflict-related incidents between the ceasefire announcement on October 10, 2025, and the end of July 2026, including 268 children. The UN also raised concerns over the conduct of Israeli forces and called for measures to protect civilians and ensure accountability.[]
