Widespread military activity was also reported in other parts of the Gaza Strip on Saturday, including gunfire, artillery shelling, drone overflights, and demolitions.
The attacks are the latest reported violations of the ceasefire agreement that took effect in October 2025. Despite the truce, Israeli forces have continued to carry out airstrikes, artillery shelling, and gunfire across Gaza, causing further Palestinian casualties.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, more than 1,500 Palestinians have been killed and over 5,300 injured since the ceasefire took effect. The overall death toll from Israel’s war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has exceeded 74,000, the ministry said.
Children have continued to bear a significant burden of the violence. According to the UN Human Rights Office, 268 children were among the 1,076 Palestinians whose deaths had been verified since the ceasefire began.

Attacks affecting tents sheltering displaced families and other civilian sites have prompted condemnation from human rights organizations, which have called for accountability and full implementation of the ceasefire agreement.
The Israeli military maintains that its operations are defensive measures in response to threats from armed groups. Palestinian sources and international observers, however, have described the continuing attacks as aggression against civilians and infrastructure.
The latest violence highlights the fragility of the ceasefire and the continuing threat to civilians across the Gaza Strip, where the humanitarian situation remains critical.
Medical facilities face the risk of closure because of fuel and medicine shortages, while Gaza’s agricultural sector is nearing collapse. Thousands of families are also living in damaged buildings that could collapse, further increasing the dangers facing displaced residents.
