Novanto Did Not Expect to Be Taken Directly to KPK Detention House

Jakarta, MINA – Suspected case of alleged corruption e-ID card Setya Novanto (Setnov) has stated he never thought would be immediately detained in the KPK prison house (prison) after completing a hospitalization at the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) Jakarta.

Novanto completed the examination at around 1:15 pm. He was taken to the KPK building on Sunday (19/11) at 23:35 pm.

He was no longer using a wheelchair when he arrived at the KPK building. He appeared to be walking from the second floor inspection site, although he looked weak and still wore the orange vest of KPK prisoners.

“Yes I’ve received it in my condition that is still sick, still vertigo because of the collision, but yes I obey the law,” he explained.

Despite receiving arrest, he confessed to continue to fight against legal process conducted by the KPK against him.

“I have taken steps from starting the SPDP (the notice of commencement of investigation) in the police and filed a letter of legal protection to the President, as well as to the Chief of Police, the Attorney General, and I have been pre-trial,” he said. (T/RS5/RS1)
