ISLAMIC UNITY COULD SET PALESTINE FREE: MALAYSIAN CLERIC
Bandar Lampung , 22 Safar 1435 / 25 December 2013 ( MINA ) – The Malaysian Sultan Zainal Abidin University lecturer, Wan Wan Ismail bin Abdullah stated that Islamic unity especially Arabs could liberate Palestine and Al-Aqsa mosque from Israeli occupation.
“If Arab nations unite, the Zionist entity which has population only about seven millions could be defeated. In fact, they (Arabs) are now divided, busy with their internal affairs and do not care with other problems,” he said during his official visit to Indonesia.
In his visit to al-Fatah Islamic Boarding School on Sunday, he pointed out that the Palestinian freedom could be achieved by the power of Islamic faith and the unity of Arab nations as in the past.
“To liberate Palestine and Al-Aqsa from Israeli occupation, we could not rely only on the basis of nationalism or ethnicity, but we must also apply the struggle for Palestinian independence on the basis of the power of Islamic faith (Aqidah) and the history has proved it,” said Wan Wan Ismail who was graduated from Yarmouk University, Jordan.
Wan Ismail also urged the Arab nations to be more concerned with the sufferings of Palestinian people who are not so far from their place.
Wan Ismail also pointed out that the immorality and negligence as the main other causes of Muslims sufferings. They experienced disasters and face genocide and oppression by their enemies due to their disobeying of Allah’s commands and neglecting sharia.
“Muslims do much immorality, and neglect of worship, so Allah does not help us, even Allah’s help (victory) is close,” said Wan Ismail.
He asked all Muslims to thank of what Allah has been giving. “If we thank Allah, then He will gives more pleasure, victory of Muslims is close and al – Aqsa and Palestine will be free soon.
“Pleasure and luxury makes Muslims never feel troubles, so they never be grateful for what they got. It makes them indifference with their fellow brothers,” said Wan Ismail, who has visited al-Aqsa Mosque many times.
Meanwhile, the chairman of Aqsa Working Group (AWG) Lampung Bureau, Rustam Effendi stressed the importance of unity among Muslims. “Our obligation as ordered in Al-Qur’an is all Muslims must unite. By the Muslim unity, we can unite and combine our struggle perception and action,” Rustam said.
Salahuddin Al – Ayyubi was the man who succeeded in liberating al Aqsa and Palestine by defeating Christian crusaders. Before freeing Al-Quds, he united all Muslims in Arab region. He also asked his troops to do tahajjud pray every night,” he said. ( L/PO4/E1).
