Indonesia Condemn Attack Against Civilians In Egypt

Jakarta, 2 Ramadan 1438/28 May 2017 (MINA) – Indonesia through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, condemned the heinous attack against bus carrying civilians in the Province of Minya, Egypt, on 26 May 2017.

The Government and the people of the Republic of Indonesia expressed their heartfelt condolences and sympathy for the bereaved families as well as wished the speedy recovery for those who were wounded.

It was reported that around 28 lives were killed and 25 others were wounded, as reported by Ministry Of Foreign Affairs, Sunday (28/5/).

At the time of this release issued, there was no Indonesian among the victims.

The Indonesian Embassy in Cairo has been working with the Egyptian authority to obtain information on the latest development of the situation and to ensure the safety of Indonesians in Egypt.

The Embassy has continued to communicate with Indonesian communities in Egypt and advised them to be alert, avoid vulnerable areas, and monitor the situation.
