Kuala Lumpur, MINA – Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin took the oath of office as the 8th Prime Minister of Malaysia in the presence of Agong Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah at the Small Singgahsana Hall, Istana Negara, Kuala Lumpur, on Sunday, March 1 at 10:33 local time.

Sultan Abdullah gave the inauguration favor in accordance with Case 40 (2a) and Case 43 (2a) Institutional Alliance. The term is the term for the laws and regulations in force in the country.

Muhyiddin (72) after reading the oath of office pledge then signed the document. Malaysia Now reports.

Political leaders who attended the inauguration ceremony included UMNO President Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, PAS President Abdul Hadi Awang, Gombak MP Member Mohamed Azmin Ali and MCA President Wee Ka Siong.

The ceremony ended with a prayer reading which was led by Datuk Seri Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri’s Regional Mufti Alliance. (T/RE1)
