More Than One Million Free Meals Distributed to Pilgrims in Madinah

The distribution of free meals to pilgrims in Madinah

 

Madinah, MINA – The Charitable Storehouse in Madinah continued providing services to pilgrims of the Grand Holy Mosque in Makkah and visitors to the Prophet’s Holy Mosque by offering free meals to the guests heading for Makkah to perform Hajj rituals for this year 1438 AH, SPA repoted Thursday.

A team from the Storehouse provides pilgrims with two ready-made meals in the morning and evening, while the camp of the Charity Storehouse provides pilgrims departing for Makkah with meals, juice and water.

The number of distributed meals totaled until now more than one million meals.

On the number of pilgrims who have arrived in Madinah, the news agency reported that a total of 546,189 pilgrims have so far arrived in Madinah.

Madinah-based National Pilgrim-Guides Foundation pointed out in its daily statistics that 376,712 pilgrims have left Madinah, while 169,423 pilgrims remained in it. (T/RS5/RS1)
