Middle East Countries’ Ambassadors Discuss Educational Synergy with Indonesia

Jakarta, MINA – Director General of Islamic Education, Kamarudin Amin becomes keynote speaker at the Symposium held by the Office of Presidential Affairs for Middle East and OIC on Thursday, in Jakarta.

The symposium was attended by a number of ambassadors from Middle East, OIC and the chancellors of renowned universities in Indonesia, bearing the theme “Enhanching Higher Education Cooperation to Support Economic Cooperation Between Indonesia and The Middle East And OIC Countries,” the Ministry of Religion released.

“One of the points in this symposium is to improve quality of cooperation in the field of education between universities in Indonesia and Middle Eastern countries, including in the fields of economics. So far, Indonesia’s cooperation with Middle Eastern countries is only limited to Arabic, “explained Kamaruddin.

On this occasion, the ambassadors of Middle East countries presented opportunities for cooperation in fields of education and economics with Indonesian government and universities.

Likewise, a number of chancellors from various well-known universities in Indonesia also gave exposure to the opportunities for cooperation that would be established with Middle East.

The Chancellor of University Jakarta Syarif Hidayahtullah UIN, UGM, University of Indonesia, Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesian Al-Azhar University and the rector of other prominent universities in Indonesia gave presentation on that event. (L/Sj/R04)
