KRCS Launches Fund-Raising Campaign for Syria’s Ghouta

Kuwait, MINA – Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) launched on Thursday a fund-raising campaign for besieged Eastern Ghouta, Syria, at the Avenues Shopping Mall, aiming at alleviating its people’s tragic humanitarian conditions.

KRCS Deputy Chairman Anwar Al-Hasawi said in remarks to KUNA today the fresh campaign entitled: “Help Ghouta” reflects the sympathy and support of the Kuwaiti people and expatriates for the people of Ghouta.

The three-day fund-raising campaign is considered as part of the society’s relentless humanitarian activities, he added.

He called on people to respond to this campaign to alleviate the sufferings of Ghouta people who are in dire need of help and relief.

KRCS has a group of high-qualified workers in the humanitarian and relief field, who are capable of rapid intervention during crises, he boasted.

The fresh initiative comes within the framework of the society’s relief aid campaigns targeting various countries across the world, he noted. (T/RS5/RS1)
