Indonesian Women’s Beach Volleyball Wins Again

Palembang, MINA – The Indonesian women’s beach volleyball team won again at the 2018 Asian Games beach volleyball match at the Jakabaring Sport City Palembang Arena, South Sumatra, Monday (20/8) afternoon.

The Dhita Juliana-PutuDiniJasitaUtami pair successfully defeated Vietnamese duo Nguyen-Huynh with two straight sets 21-10, 21-6 in the preliminary round, asian games2018 reported.

According to PutuDini, the second match against Vietnam was more than the previous appearance.

“We played optimally according to the strategy given by the coach. So, it was easier to overcome the opponent’s game,” he said after the match.

Furthermore, the Indonesian pair will face tough opponents from Kazakhstan and Thailand on Tuesday (21/8).

“Later that night, we will discuss strategies with coaches. We have met them, have won and also lost. So, the chances are 50-50,” Dhita Juliana added.

In other matches, the Indonesian women’s team, pair DesiRatnasari-YokbedPurariEka,defeated the pair AbilijiaCaminha-Leticia FebrianaAlin De Sousa from Timor Leste with two straight sets.(L/R04/RS5)
