Indonesian Ulema MUI Forms Seven Islamic Business Incubation Center

Bandung, 10 Dhulhijah 1437/13 Agustus 2016 (MINA) – Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) has formulated the establishment of seven Islamic Business Incubation Center (PINBAS) in several provinces to realize developed and strong Islamic economy.

“The results Bandung Summit has formulated programs to be followed, one of them is the establishment of seven PINBAS in Indonesia,” said Director of PINBAS MUI, M Azrul Tanjung, in Bandung, West Java, Saturday. Antaranews reported.

He said the areas which have been formed PINBAS are; North Sumatra, South Sumatra, Central Java, East Java, South Sulawesi, South Kalimantan and Maluku.

” Pinbas is also expected to be the mayor booster of the three nearby areas Jakarta, Banten and West Java,” he said.

He explained that the establishment of Pinbas can directly engage to protect small and medium businesses in the society.

Tanjung wanted MUI could realize the economic sector as a main pillar in defense of Moslem’s faith.

He said the MUI through PINBAS ready to give training for food business to have halal license.

“Small and middle home industries such as meatballs and dumplings are really need to have halal license. So, MUI can help them to have halal certification,” he said. (LP/R03/R04)
