STATEMENT OF JAMA’AH MUSLIMIN (HIZBULLAH) ON UPHEAVEL IN EGYPT

Addressing the upheaval in Egypt that caused hundreds of innocent people killed and thousands more injured, Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) express the statements as follow:

1. Strongly condemn any form of violence which could result in many casualties among civilians. Even it happens in the holy month of Ramadan, a time to build mutual brotherhood and affection between fellow Muslims. Muslims are brothers, it is unlawful to shed blood among human being. Allah says in Al Qur’an, “The believers are brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy.” (Surah Al-Hujurat [49]: 10).

2. The problem should be resolved peacefully between fellow Muslims, it must not involve the third party who deliberately pit Muslims for their interests. Allah says in Al Qur’an,
“O you who have believed, do not take as intimates those other than yourselves, for they will not spare you [any] ruin. They wish you would have hardship. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, and what their breasts conceal is greater. We have certainly made clear to you the signs, if you will use reason.” (Surah Ali Imran [3]: 118).

3. This kind of situations should be taken as a lesson for all Muslims not to be caught up in the global conspiracy that can harm the unity of Muslims. Therefore, the Muslims should not ask for help from others except Allah and the other Muslims. Muslims should be aware of the danger of the power struggle which could cause civilian casualties.

5. Urge Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to hold an emergency meeting as soon as possible to solve problems/chaotic situation in Egypt.

6. Urge Non-Governmental organizations, political organizations, and Muslim institutions all over the world to participate actively to seek peace in Egypt.

7. It is Muslims responsibility to support those who obey Allah in leading any countries especially Egypt in this case. Moreover, Egypt has a strategic position in the Arab world and the muslim world for the liberation of Al-Aqsa and the independence of Palestine.

8. Call on Muslims all around the world, to unite and tighten the rank into one row in the form of caliphate that follows the prophethood (Khilafah ’ala minhajn nubuwah). Allah warns on Ali Imran: 103, “And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided.”
