INDONESIAN ISLAMIC SCHOOL BACKED UP BY ARAB TEACHERS HOLDS TAHFIDZUL QURAN

       Jakarta, 28 Jumadil Akhir 1434/7 May 2013 (MINA) – Indonesia’s Al-Fatah Islamic boarding school in cooperation with Ma’had Tahfdiz Dar Al-Quranul Al-Karim Wa Sunnah, Gaza, Palestine holds a training of memorizing Al Quran (Tahfidzul Quran) in Muhajirun, South Lampung, Indonesia from May 7 to June 10, 2013.

       The program called Taajul Waqaar (Crown of Glory) is an acceleration program,  a type of flash boarding school (1-2 months) which is held during summer holiday season to memorize Al Quran. The same program is regularly held in Gaza, Palestine.

       The program has been longstanding in Gaza. Yet built to set up a new formal of Quran institution named Dar Al Quranul Al Karim Wa  Sunnah since 2006.  Al-Fatah is appointed by the Gazan institution as a representative of Taajul  Waqaar program in Indonesia.

       Last year, the first Taajul Waqaar held in Indonesia with 205 students graduated as memorizers (hafidz) of Al Qur’an in the two-months training.

       The activity  implements a system and methodology of Taajul Waqaar in Palestine that successfully put out thousands of hafidz Al-Quran every year.

       The training entitled “Acceleration Program of Memorizing Al-Quran For The Freedom of Al Aqsa” that was conducted in Lampung as the first Taajul Waqaar application program outside Gaza.

       In the second Taajul Waqaar, Al-Fatah Islamic boarding school invites specialized team of teachers from Dar Al-Quran Al-Karim Wa Sunnah institution from Gaza.

       The technical managers of the training, Lili Sholehuddin said,  his team has prepared well for this program.

      “Insha Allah, we have prepared to the fullest both physically and non-physically,” Lili told Mi’raj News Agency (MINA), Monday night (6/5).

       Lili said about 650 participants from various regions in Indonesia and out side will join the training. They have to recitate eight pages of Al Qur’an  everyday.

       “Other Islamic boarding school already confirmed their attendance in this training. The tutors as well as participants have been arriving since Wednesday (1/5),” said the doctoral candidate.

       Last year,  about 24 thousand children and adult graduated on the program led by Sheikh Abdurrahman Yusuf Al-Jamal Al-Haafiz who has transmission chain (sanad*) of Tahfidzul Quran to the Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alaihi Wasallam, as he said. (*Sanad can refer to Isnād, the citations or “backings” used to verify the legitimacy of a hadith)

       Taajul Waqaar program includes the program to read, memorize, understand, practice, and teach Al Quran in daily life. (L/P03/P04/E1)
