Kathmandu, 16 Rajab 1436/6 May 2015 (MINA) – The Indonesian humanitarian agencies, Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C) in collaboration with Wanadri, are moving to Dhunche City, the northen city of Kathmandu, as one of the worst affected region by the  earthquake in Nepal.

According to Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) reporter, Widi Kusnadi, there is a military hospital and clinic in the Dhunche city wich until now has not been in operation due to the absence of medical personel and medicines.

Mer-C-Wanadri first team plans to conduct the treatment and assessment mobile before the next team do the surgeon for the victims in the region.

“Cars with a double cabin has been in the rent, medicine and other supplies ready to go,” said Widi Kusnadi, as the assessment team will study whether in Dhunche  they can do surgery operation.

Widi reported, the team planned to be in the area for three days.

Dhunce located in Rasuwa District, Bagmati Zone, Nepal. The location is located at 28 ° 7’N 85 ° 17’E at an altitude of 2,030 meters (6660 feet).

Dhunche within a five-hour drive from Bakhtapur City, which was once the cultural capital of Nepal in the 12th century to the 15th. The town is just 5 Km from Langtang, the city buried by debris highest mountain in the world, Himalayas.

All the victims were in Langtang also had to be rushed to Dhunche because access to treatment can only be done there.

According to Widi, there are four villages that were completely destroyed in the city and until now there is no medical assistance there. While the other region with the worst condition after the earthquake was in the village of Rance, Dhunche City, because there is no electricity.

Based on the data from the Government of Nepal, Monday (4/5), an earthquake of 7.8 on the Richter Scale in the country on Saturday (25/4) and resulted more than 7365 people died, while the 13.923 inhabitants were injured.
