Allegedly Bombs Exploded in Jakarta

Jakarta, 26 Sha’ban 1438/24 May 2017 (MINA) – Two explosions occurred in Kampung Melayu Terminal, East Jakarta at  9 pm and 9.05 pm.  At least 4 killed and 15 other wounded.

1.30 am: Head of Police Public Relations Division Inspector General Setyo Warsisto said, three police personels and one civilian confirmed died during the second explosion and two others heavy wounded in nearby hospital.

1.30 am: Police stated that Vicky, a teenager allegedly involved in bombing, is not true, and information spread in media is a false information. Vicky found sleeping in his house when police came to his place.

12.14 am: Metro Tangerang Police personels approached the residence of allegedly suicide bomber, Vicky  in Kampung Cibodas, Tangerang City. Police department claimed they received reports that Vicky is involved in the bombing in Kampung Melayu terminal.

11  pm: Deputy Chief of Police Commissioner General Syafruddin said there were a total of six  victims in the incident. Five of them are members of the Police. One died due to the second explosion. Four others were taken to a nearby hospital. “One person is allegedly the suicide bomber,” Syafruddin said.

10.35 pm: Police closed traffic flow from Cawang, Matraman, about two  kilometers from the Kampung Melayu terminal area.

10.30 pm: At least 5 wounded people brought to nearby hospital, Jatinegara Hospital, 2 kilometers  away from the incident place.

9.45 pm: Jakarta Metropolitan Police Department in its Twitter account said the explosions allegedly a suicide bombing.

9.30 pm: Bodies found scattered in streets and Transjakarta busway shelter.

9 pm: People heard an explosion near toilet area in Kampung Melayu terminal, East Jakarta.  They ran to the location as the second explosion happened. “The explosion heard twice, five minutes apart,” said Rohimat, a citizen nearby.(L/RE1/P2)
