PFLP CALLS ON INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS TO SAVE PRISONERS’ LIFE
Ramallah, 14 Dzulhijjah 1436/28 September 2015 (MINA) – Popular Front for Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) charged Israel of full responsibility for the lives of 17 prisoners who have been on hunger strike for over 37 days in Israeli jails.
The health conditions of the hunger strikers have deteriorated after the Israeli Occupation Authority refused to transfer them to hospital for treatment. Many of strikers have been refraining from drinking water and having supplements, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting, Monday (28/9).
PFLP said, in a press statement, “These methods aim at suppressing Palestinian captives to end their hunger strike. “It will be faced by more determination and steadfastness by the strikers until their demands are achieved”, the PFLP added.
The popular front asked international organizations to urgently intervene to save the lives of prisoners from slow execution and to condemn the policies of administrative detention and medical negligence as well as to prosecute Israel at the International Criminal Court for its crimes against Palestinian captives.
The PFLP also called for more popular actions in support of the Palestinian hunger strikers in Israeli jails.(T/P008/R03)
