THE SECOND CROSSING CLOSED, GAZA TOTALLY BESIEGED

Gaza, 12 Jumadil Awwal 1435/13 March 2014 (MINA) – Border linking Gaza with the Eastern occupied territories,  Kareem Abu Salem, closed since the Wednesday Israeli attack which continues  until today, Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA)’s correspondent reported from Gaza.

“It is not  informed yet when will be opened,  it seems to last a few days,” said correspondent said Nur Ikhwan Abadi.

Israeli warplanes launched a series of air strikes since Wednesday night against various areas  starting from the south to the north  of the Gaza Strip,  following a number of rockets fired by Islamic Jihad into the occupied territories controlled by Israel.

Previously,  Rafah crossing closed following a ban on Hamas activities in Egypt, now  since the airstrike  the Kareem  crossing also closed, making a total siege of Gaza from the outside world.

Nur Ikhwan added that today Israel launched air strikes attacking some bases of the resistance across the Gaza Strip.

The warplanes attacked at least five missiles sites of resistance to the  northwest of Khan Younis city. In another air strike, the jets attacked a site in the central Gaza Strip as well as  a site for the resistance in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

Yesterday, the Israeli attacks killed three of al-Quds Brigades fighters  which followed by rockets retaliatory attacks from Gaza.

“Previously, the Islamic Jihad  attacked Israel, as they protest the increasingly severe siege on the Gaza Strip, especially after the border and the tunnels was completely closed,” the correspondent added.

Disregarding of the  ceasefire deal signed between Israel and the Palestinian resistance following the Israeli war against Gaza in 2012, Israel continues its daily violations by attacking Palestinians in the Gaza border from the land, the air and the sea. (L/P03/E01)
