Tacurong, Philippine, 10 Dhulhijja 1435/4 October 2014 (MINA) – The Philippine’s Army on Saturday opened its camp to at least 60 Muslim families in Mayta, Tacurong City, who celebrated Eid’l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice).

According to the Army’s 601st Brigade commander Col. Melquiades Feliciano, this was the first time they opened their camp to Muslim activities, GMA news online quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

“We want that our Islam believers in our area of responsibilities would feel that the military is also one with them in commemorating the important celebration in their lives,” Feliciano said.

The Muslim families along with selected Army personnel participated in the early morning prayers headed by the Imams.
