OIC Chief Strongly Condemns Nigeria Attack

Suicide bombers kill 18 in Nigeria’s Maiduguri

Jeddah, MINA – Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Yousef Al-Othaimeen on Sunday strongly condemned a recent suicide attack in the Nigerian city of Maiduguri, which killed 19 people and injured dozens, KUNA reported.

In a press release, he offered condolences to the families of the victims and the people and government of Nigeria over this tragedy, while urging the government to step up efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The OIC chief reaffirmed his organization’s principled position that emphatically decries all acts of terrorism and violent extremism in all forms and manifestations.

Three suicide bombers carried out an attack in Maiduguri, leaving at least 18 people dead and 22 others injured. (T/RS5/RS1)
