LAMPUNG GOVERNOR SUPPORTS FIRST ONLINE AL-QURAN LEARNING

        Bandar Lampung, 17 Muharram 1435/21 November 2013 (MINA) – Governor of Lampung Zachroedin ZP fully support first online Al-Quran learning in Lampung, South Sumatera, Indonesia.

       “This will accelerate quality improvement of muslims  in the future broadly,” the Governor of Lampung said in a written speech read by Assistant III for People’s Welfare, Hj. Elya Muchtar, SE, MM in the grand launching of the Shuffah Al Qur’an Abdullah bin Mas’ud (SQABM) online.

        In the written statement, Zachroedin appreciates the establishment of SQABM online, expressing his hope that through the online-based education institutions that specializes in the  studying of holy Al-Quran to contribute maximum for the future residents of Lampung, Indonesia, and Muslims all over the world.

        At its trial of online teleconference, the governor delegation who made speech in the grand launching on Tuesday (19/11) altogether with other guests listened and watched the inaugural lecture  delivered by Palestinian cleric Sheikh Dr. Abdur Rahman Yusuf Al-Jamal from Gaza Strip, Palestine.

        At the grand launching ceremony, Elya Mochtar, also registered herself  as student of SQABM online, adding to the other 85 participants who have registered earlier.

        Responding to the implementation of learning Quran online live, Sudanese ambassador to Indonesia Abd ar-Rahim al-Siddiq revealed that this method is not only used as the first in the province of Lampung but also in the world.

        The chairman of SQABM, Yakhsyallah Mansur  in his speech said the use of  the name of Abdullah bin Mas’ud in the institution  derived from the name of the Prophet Mohammad PBUH companion who was well known of his mastery of Al-Qur’an.

       “Abdullah bin Mas’ud was one of the great companions of the Prophet PBUH era who got the recognition of his mastery to interpret Al-Qur’an. He had several times been asked to recite the verses of Al-Qur’an by the Prophet Muhammad PBUH,” said Yakhsyallah. (L/P03/E1)
