ISRAELI SETTLERS BURN CARS AND RUIN PALESTINIAN PROPERTIES

Wadi ‘Ara, 5 Rajab 1434/15 May 2013 (MINA) – A number of extremist Israelis settlers attacked the Um Al-Qataf villager, in Wadi ‘Ara area, torched three Palestinian cars and wrote racist graffiti against the Arabs.

The burnt cars were parked in the yard of a local mosque in the village; local residents denounced the attack, and said that extremist fundamentalist Israelis are behind the latest assault, International Middle East Media Center (IMEMC) reported as monitored by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA).

Sadeh, head of the Menashe Regional Council in the area, stating that the graffiti on the mosque indicate that the assailants are Jewish extremists, the media reported.

Menashe denounced the attack and called on the police to investigate it, and apprehend the assailants. 
An Israeli Police spokesperson stated that the settlers did not only write racist anti-Arab graffiti, but also drew the Star of David on some walls.

Um Al-Qataf  is located in the Northern Triangle area, 45 kilometers south of Haifa.

While on Monday (13/5) Palestinian sources reported that a group of extremist Israeli settlers attacked and destroyed Palestinian properties, destroyed graves and wrote racist graffiti in As-Swiya village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

The sources said that the settlers destroyed a hothouse and two agricultural tractors that belong to resident Abdul-Aziz Nasr, and also attacked and defaced a number of graves in the village, and wrote racist graffiti on them. 

Last sunday, several settlers hurled stones at dozens of Palestinian cars at the Shave Shomron junction, near Nablus, causing extensive damage, no injuries have been reported.

On last Saturday evening, a Palestinian man was injured after being attacked by extremist settlers who invaded the Burin village, south of Nablus.

On last Thursday evening, a Palestinian man and his three sons were injured after a number of Israeli settlers hurled stones at their car near Nablus.

On the same day several extremist settlers invaded the Beit Einoon area, east of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and fired rounds of live ammunition at a number of homes. Medical sources reported that at least one child suffered an anxiety attack after the settlers fired rounds of live ammunition at her parents’ home.

On last Wednesday evening, dozens of extremist Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian cars at the entrance of Nabi Saleh village, near the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and hurled stones at them.

The latest attacks are part of ongoing, and recently escalating, attacks carried out by extremist settlers against different villages, towns and orchards in different parts of the occupied West Bank.(T/P03/P04)
