ZIONIST ISRAEL DESTROYS 800 PALESTINIAN HOMES IN TWO WEEKS
Gaza, 22 Ramadan 1435/20 July 2014 (MINA) – The Minister of Public Works, Palestinian unity government Dr. Mufeed Mohammed Al-Husainah on Saturday said Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip in this 13th days has destroyed at least 800 homes.
In addition, another 750 homes severely damaged, and 16,000 others partially damaged.
On Friday (18/7), Israeli forces destroyed 24 houses in various regions of the Gaza Strip. Then on Saturday (19/7) as many as 17 houses destroyed again.
“Israeli forces continued to bombard civilian homes,” correspondent Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) in the Gaza Strip reported.
Indonesian Hospital in Bayt Lahiya, northern Gaza Strip was also affected by Israeli bomb attacks. At least eight Israeli missiles hit several locations around the building causing an effect to the hospital, some glasses shattered and some parts of the buiding are collapsed.
According to the Healt Ministry in Gaza, the number of casualties among civilians in Gaza Strip until today hit 352 died and 2700 injured.
The strikes has been increased in recent days, as the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered his troops to start ground invasion to the Gaza Strip on Thursday. Now the battle concentrated in the border.
Meanwhile, Gaza fighter al-Qassam Brigades announced that they had killed 11 Israeli occupation soldiers, destroyed its military jeep and seized Israel’s weapon, on Saturday.
Correspondent of (Mi’raj Islamic News Agency/MINA) from Gaza reported that the force of Hamas did what they called historical military operation.
Fighters from Gaza infiltrated into Israeli territory in Shafa, east Rafah city, southern Gaza, Saturday night at around 20:10 local time. Their tactics was unpredictible. They infiltrated through tunnel to enemy border in Al-Rayyan, Shafa.
“We are ready to make the next surprise for Zionist soldiers, especially firefight at close range,” said al-Qassam in their official statement.
MINA also reported that Hamas’ fighters previously had killed three Israeli soldiers. They shotted rightly at the head of them. Then Hamas’ fighters returned safely.
Al-Qassam had also killed six Israeli soldiers in raid of infiltration into military camp of Abu Mutaibak, eastern of central Gaza in the same operation, on Saturday.
During the attack 12 Al-Qassam fighters infiltrated into Israel’s military barracks . They penetrated enemy border successfully through movement teams. The operation happened for more than 6 hours.(L/K01/P03/P04)
