INDONESIAN AND MALAYSIAN MUSLIM STUDENTS MAKE A COMMITMENT TO LIBERATE AL-AQSHA

         Bogor, 18 Shawwal 1434 /25 August 2013 (MINA) – The visit of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) to Al-Fatah Islamic High School (STAI) Bogor and the meeting between the students and the lecturers of these higher Islamic education institutions bring a commitment to liberate  Al-Aqsa Mosque which still colonized.

         It was delivered by the head of Study Tour from Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Prof. Dr. M. Yusuf Khalid when he was interviewed by Mi’raj News Agency reporter during a visit to MINA’s office, Saturday (24/8).

        “All the Muslims should have a commitment to get up and work together in order to liberate Al-Aqsa Mosque,” said Khalid, one of the lecturers in USIM, the second largest Islamic University in Malaysia.

          Since the beginning of its colonization the City of Al-Quds in 1967, Zionist Israel has started the project of step by step crushing Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is the third holiest mosque for Muslims worldwide. Zionists and Jewish extremists are always trying to ruin the first Qibla of Muslims. One of the tragedies was on 21 August 1969, a group of Jewish extremists tried to burn Al-Aqsa Mosque.

          Until now, they also continue to do some digging in the basement of Al-Aqsa Mosque, they argue that they are conducting archaeological research and intensify its presence in Al-Aqsa to perform religious rituals with Israeli police escort.

         That’s why, Khalid called on Muslims to have the willingness to work together to liberate Al-Aqsa Mosque from Israeli occupation.

         In addition, he also stated, USIM made some visits to  Islamic universities in Indonesia such as the State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta, and Alfatah Islamic High School (STAI) Al-Fatah Bogor. It has a goal to teach the students about international diversity such as culture, language in other nations.

         “We intend to teach students about the international diversity such as culture, language and other nations,” he explained.

          According to him, Indonesia has the largest Muslim population in the world; they have students who have high spirit to study. Khalid appealed to the younger generation to be able to do something positive for the future, because the role of the youth is very important in the rise of Islam.

          “The role of youth in the future is very important, use the time as effectively as possible because if you can not fill the time well, it will be a lot of things that you waste,” He added.

          At the end of the meeting, Al-Fatah Islamic High School (STAI) gives some books and souvenirs about liberation of Al-Aqsa and a paper entitled, “The Role of Young Intellectuals in the Islamic Awakening and Liberation of Al-Aqsa” aimed at bringing awareness to the young intellectuals that they have responsibility for the liberation of Al-Aqsa which is still occupied by Zionist Israel.
