Nagoya, MINA – The Indonesian contingent has secured its third gold medal at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. This latest gold came from the men’s doubles badminton event, won by the pair Leo Rolly Carnando and Daniel Marthin.
Leo and Daniel defeated the Chinese pair, Liang Weikeng and Wang Chang, in the men’s doubles final held at the Ichinomiya City Municipal Gymnasium. The Indonesian duo had to battle through three games before clinching the victory with scores of 18-21, 21-13, and 21-18.
According to the latest 2026 Asian Games standings as of Tuesday (September 29), Indonesia has now amassed 3 gold, 7 silver, and 20 bronze medals—a total of 30 medals. The “Red and White” team currently sits in 15th place in the provisional standings.
Indonesia is positioned just behind Chinese Taipei, which holds 14th place with 3 gold, 10 silver, and 24 bronze medals. Meanwhile, Qatar follows Indonesia in 16th place with 3 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals.

Meanwhile, China continues to dominate the 2026 Asian Games standings. Based on the latest data updates, China holds first place with 141 gold, 60 silver, and 47 bronze medals, totaling 248 medals.
