Jakarta, MINA – Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, revealed that the Muslim World League (MWL) will engage with the Government of Saudi Arabia regarding the planned construction of an Indonesian Hajj Village (Kampung Haji).
Dahnil said that President Prabowo Subianto expressed appreciation to the Government of Saudi Arabia and the Muslim World League for their support toward Indonesia. The Hajj Village is expected to improve hajj services in the future.
“The Muslim World League will also speak with the Saudi Arabian Government, in this case, the Crown Prince, MBS (Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud), to jointly facilitate Indonesia’s plan to build the Hajj Village in Saudi Arabia,” Dahnil said at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Thursday.
In addition to supporting the Hajj Village construction, the Muslim World League also plans to build a museum dedicated to the Prophet in Jakarta.

Dahnil stated that the museum would be dedicated to the Muslim community in Indonesia and serve as an educational center for the Prophet’s history.
The Investment Management Agency Daya Anagata Danantara (BPI Danantara), revealed the progress of the Indonesian Hajj Village project in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Danantara, Pandu Patria Sjahrir, explained that the integrated area, spanning 80 hectares (ha), has entered the bidding stage with 90 other bidders. The results of the bidding are expected to be known in mid-December 2025.
The Indonesian Hajj Village will be developed into an integrated area to facilitate Indonesian Hajj and Umrah pilgrims while simultaneously introducing various Indonesian products and services to a global audience.

In addition to participating in the official bidding, Pandu said Danantara is exploring a number of business-to-business (B2B) agreements with asset owners around the Hajj Village area. This step is being taken to anticipate the broader needs of prospective visitors and Indonesian businesses.
The area is set to become Indonesia’s global showcase, featuring various leading domestic business sectors. The area is planned to accommodate diverse sectors, ranging from culinary arts, fashion, tourism, pharmaceuticals, media, to Sharia-based businesses.[]
