INDONESIA “DINIYYAH PUTERI” SCHOOL SENDS STUDENTS TO MALAYSIA

Padang, 24 Rabi al-Awwal 1436/14 January 2015 (MINA) – The Indonesia “Diniyyah Puteri” Islamic Boarding School (female only) in Padang Panjang, West Sumatera  will send fifteen students and two teachers to the Federal Islamic Religious Council of Malaysia.

The chief of the School , Fauziah Fauzan said the event will run for one month starting from February 9 to March 9. Students will learn and share knowledge there.

“Students will learn Islamic knowledge as well as science and technology,” said Fauziah to Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA)’s reporter.

Furthermore, Zizi (nickname of Fauziah) said not only in Malaysia, in the near future, they will also  sent students to Japan in the framework of the same mission. “There, they will learn about the development of technology and agriculture.

“Students will get knowledge about activities and programs that exist in Japan and it support their studies,” said Zizi.

Up to now, Diniyyah Puteri has passed their alumnae to various prestigious national and international universities, such as: Institute Teknoogi Bandung (ITB), Institute Pertanian Bogor (IPB), Padjadjaran University, University of Indonesia (UI), Andalas Universsity (UNAND), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, IAIN Imam Bondjol Padang, Al Azhar University Cairo, as well as various other universities in the Middle East countries.

Additionally, Diniyyah Puteri have scholarship program from Ministry of Education, local governments, Al Azhar University Cairo, and other international universities.

Diniyyah Puteri Islamic Boarding School Padang Panjang located in West Sumatra. Founded by Rahmah El Yunusiyyah on 1 November 1923 at the time of Dutch occupation era.

Rahmah El Yunusiah founded the school at the age of 23 after getting inspiration from his brother Zainuddin Labay El Yunusy in 1915.

Nowadays, Diniyyah Puteri has developed five educational programs ranging from kindergarten  to the College level to achieve the goals “EDUCATING MUSLIMS GENERATION “. (L/P007/R03)
