HAMAS: THE ONLY EFFECTIVE OPTION IS RESISTANCE UNTIL THE LIBERALIZATION OF AL QUDS

Gaza City, 17 Shawwal 1434/24 August 2013 (MINA) -Hamas confirmed its adherence to the resistance until the liberalization of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and stressed that settlement activity and attempts to Judaize the region will not succeed to obliterate the identity of Jerusalem.

The movement said in a statement on Wednesday, on the 44th anniversary of burning the Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist Jew Dennis Michael, that the choice of resistance, the adherence to the rights and constants and the national unity represent the only way to confront the occupation and its plans and to liberate Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa.

It also stressed that the national reconciliation constitutes a national priority, warning of the danger of being dragged behind the alleged peace and the futile negotiations, Alresalah.ps quoted by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Hamas hailed the Jerusalemites for their steadfastness and for defending the Al-Aqsa Mosque against the settlers and occupation forces’ attempts to desecrate and judaize it.

It called on the Palestinian people at home and in Diaspora to adhere to their rights and national constants, and urged the Arab and Islamic nation and the free people of the world to support the Jerusalemites.

The forty-fourth anniversary of the burning of Al-Aqsa Mosque comes at a time in which calls for dividing Al-Aqsa Mosque have escalated, as a Jewish extremist Association revealed intentions to build a synagogue in the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Jewish Yishai Association said “The project is progressing slowly. However, once we get the consensus of all those who believe in the need to establish the Temple, the implementation process will become too fast.”
