EGYPT PROSECUTION ORDERS ARREST OF 260 MORSI SUPPORTERS

        Cairo, 13 Shawwal 1434/20 August 2013 (MINA) – Egypt’s general prosecution on Monday ordered the arrest of 260 supporters of ousted president Mohamed Morsi on charges of inciting violence during Saturday’s Al-Fath Mosque clashes.

        The 260 are accused of forming an illegal organisation, inciting murder and inciting the breaking into Azbakeya police station in Cairo’s Ramses Square, Ahram reported as monitored by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA).

        Last saturday, residents was shot by gunmen suspected as thugs during a protest of the ongoing violence against pro-Morsi demonstrators. They blockaded themselves in the mosque with chairs follow the live firing, the police evacuated and arrested  who is in the mosque, media reported.

       36 people reportedly killed in the attack on Al-Fath Mosque Cairo, as well as women protesters who tried to dodge bullets among other victims.

       Contradict with the reports, Egypt’s Ahram said fierce clashes erupted at Al-Fath Mosque in Ramses Square, central Cairo, on Saturday between Morsi supporters and opponents, as well as with police. Around 1,500 pro-Morsi protesters sought refuge inside Al-Fath Mosque in Cairo’s Ramses district, demanding a “safe exit” from the area.

       Egypt heats up after police forcibly disperse Morsi supporters who staged sit-in in almost all provinces in Egypt for more than a month after the overthrow of their president Mohamed Morsi. Police threw tear gas and beating people out of the area, amateur video proves the presence of snipers on the rooftop who as well shot protesters.
